When requested by the Minister, provide advice to the Minister with respect to, i. the design and implementation of monitoring programs to monitor whether the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan is meeting its objectives, ii. whether a proposed amendment to the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan is consistent with the precautionary principle and, if not, whether the proposed amendment should be modified to achieve consistency, iii. proposed amendments to the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, iv. proposed regulations under this Act, v. proposed regulations under subsection 75 (1.7) of the Ontario Water Resources Act. 3. Such other functions as may be specified by the Minister.high

Provide a forum to, i. co-ordinate implementation of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, and ii. identify and resolve issues that arise in relation to the implementation of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan. 2. Provide advice to the Minister on any issues or problems related to the implementation of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan. 3. With respect to threats to the ecological health of the Lake Simcoe watershed that are identified by the Lake Simcoe Science Committee, provide advice to the Minister i. policies that could be included in the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, or ii. regulations that could be made under this or any other Act. 4. Assist the Minister and other public bodies to monitor progress on the implementation of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan. 5. Make recommendations on any proposed amendments to the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan to ensure that the Plan meets its objectives. 6. Assist the Minister with a review of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan. 7. Such other functions as may be specified by the Minister.high
